This river a goddess shed
河之女神
in bitter tears
眼泪苦涩
for her home forever lost.
迷失家园
Walk down its stony banks
石岸忐忑
as it plunges and swirls
纵身旋流
in falls and cataracts.
幕瀑中撕扯

Sip its cool waters
啜饮甘泉
from placid pools.
池水静澈
drink deeply
点点滴滴
and slake your thirst.
清凉去渴
Her grief is your sustenance.
伊人忧伤
且作良药舍

The wayfarer followed the river’s course
溯游而下
ever downward
无疆行者
through ferny forests and rising mists
蕨林雾霭
until at last the divine sorrow
终见明德
was swallowed
神之泪珠
in the gray waves of a surging sea.
海浪纳白河
